Vehicle Description
Toyota first introduced the Land Cruiser FJ62 in 1986 in a limited number of markets sporting a Toyota 3F carbureted engine and a 5 -speed manual transmission. It replaced the FJ60 for model year 1988 in the United States featuring greater power from a now fuel injected 3F-EFI engine paired to a 4-s peed automatic transmission. Although early non-US FJ62's featured dual round headlights and limited creature comforts, they were introduced in the US with four square headlights, power windows and locks, and larger side-view mirrors. The last year of production and sales for the FJ62 in US was 1990, same year that it was replaced by the 80 Series Land Cruiser . It was sold until 1992 in some foreign markets.
